Nora Lowinsky (b 1982, California) received two bachelor of arts degrees from the University of California at Berkeley in 2014 in English and Media Studies. Upon graduation, she enrolled in a traditional darkroom workshop at Rayko Photo Center in San Francisco. From that moment on, she began creating images with intention and printmaking. She is a featured artist in Archive Collective's first print magazine, The Earth Issue, focused on the intersection between art and environmentalism. Her most recent exhibition, Feminine Architecture, was a two woman photography show with the artist Haley Golden in Oakland.
The artist handprints her gelatin silver black & white prints and her chromogenic color prints in the darkroom. All images shot on film.
